Introduction

Hey all! This probably won't be your average book blog. First to start with a little about me. I am 21 years old. I am currently going to college online for elementary education. I was never really much of a reader except for a few authors books that I enjoyed. Some of the few books I enjoyed throughout my life were the Magic Tree House books, The Series of Unfortunate Events books and then in high school the books that were out by Ellen Hopkins. Other than those I didn't really ever read. I have spent a lot of time over the past few weeks watching many different people on Youtube and their Booktube videos. I have decided that I want to read more and expand the kind of books I read. Also because I am going to school to be a teacher I will be reading a variety of age levels worth of books. I feel that most of my reading with be between early readers (this is the age I want to teach but I only want the best books in my classroom) up through young adult. I haven't decided yet if I am going to be adding videos to YouTube as well or just blogging here.

I have a few projects that I have started in the past week or so related to reading. I have started a To Be Read jar to put in all the books I already have that I have not read in a long time or have not read at all. I am also created a Book Wishlist Jar to include all the books that I would like to buy so I can choose however many I can afford without having to actually choose between all the books.

I also like to craft and play music. I am currently teaching myself how to play the violin.

I had a small summer book haul that I will list the books that I had bought.
1. The Fault in Our Stars (saw the movie before finishing the book...shame on me)
2. If I Stay (haven't finished the book or watched the movie)
3. Rumble (have a few older Ellen Hopkins books to read before I can start this one)
4. The Invention of Hugo Cabret (have read this book review coming later)
5. The One and Only Ivan

Along with those I also have all my textbooks that were wayyyyy to expensive and no one really cares about.

Talk to you all later with my review and to let you know what is happening here at Kelsie Now Reads.
